WA Labor admits record migration is reducing your living standards
Posted on WA News by One Nation Western Australia · September 15, 2024 8:37 AMWA Labor Premier Roger Cook has finally admitted what One Nation has been pointing out for some time - record migration to WA is reducing your standard of living.
The West Australian newspaper reported the Labor Government accepts that the 79,000 people who arrived in WA in 2023 had placed pressure on housing, health services and education.
We have a situation in WA where kids and adults have to wait months to get important medical treatment, where we have schools that are desperately understaffed and bursting at the seams, no housing availability and rampant cost of living pressures.
Basic economic theory informs us that when demand outweighs supply, you will get shortages, which will inevitably lead to inflation. So it should be no surprise that having more people to house, educate and keep healthy will require more resources, otherwise standards will drop.
However due to the aggressive and mismanaged budget cuts of Mark McGowan from 2017 to 2020, our services were heavily degraded, and then from 2020 onwards hysterical Covid policies made things even worse in terms of keeping up with investment for the future.
The WA Labor Government is claiming it is now investing heavily to restore health, housing and education, but everyone should understand that this is actually an admission that they have mismanaged our state for almost 8 years. It is obvious that the only reason they have to invest so much now, is because they did not invest well in the past 8 years, otherwise we would not be in this situation. But instead of investing in health, housing and education, WA Labor squandered our wealth on train lines and RAT kits.
One Nation WA has consistently pointed out that we need to manage migration better, we need to be able to look after the people who are here now before we can invite more people to join us. We need to have a responsible voice in parliament to hold the major parties to account.

One Nation WA call for better deal for Teachers
Posted on WA News by One Nation Western Australia · July 06, 2024 8:27 AMOne Nation WA welcomes the pay increase for teachers, however notes this is not enough to keep our best teachers in the profession.
Teachers are critical in our society, they have a huge impact on the lives of our children and our future. Sadly our best teachers find it ever harder to do their jobs, and the issues that keep being raised are:
- Class sizes
- Inability to discipline disruptive students
- Endless reporting and bureaucracy
- Management heavy school administrations
- Mental health crisis in students
At One Nation WA we understand that a pay increase that barely keeps up with inflation does nothing to address the real problems in the education system, which has become ever more degraded over time.
Every teacher and parent knows that the larger the group of children, the harder it is to create an environment where children can concentrate and learn. Class sizes keep expanding, and the underlying reason for this is that investment in schools has not been enough to keep up with demand.
Teachers need to be able to discipline students, children need rules and boundaries, our job is not to affirm their feelings rather we need to teach them to regulate them.
We need to reform the education department, as too many teachers complain about pointless ideological directives, process changes, poorly implemented system changes and reporting requirements that come from Silver City.
Another issue that has been raised is the number of management positions at schools, with the large number of non-teaching staff in relation to teaching staff. This is another sign of a system that needs serious attention.
We also have mental health crisis in our schools, huge numbers of children are displaying concerning behaviours, and teachers are expected to be able to deal with complex situations that they are not trained for. Teachers are provided with technology systems where they can see how many in their class are flagged for mental health issues, and the numbers have raised some alarm with many in the profession.
So whilst One Nation WA welcomes the pay increase, we want teachers and parents to know that we are listening, and we will not be afraid to address the real issues.
Class sizes keep increasing due to a larger population, that is being driven by massive immigration. Woke ideology prohibits teachers from disciplining children, as their feelings need to be affirmed, even if that means tolerating unacceptable behaviours. Also, the cost of living crisis and climate hysteria is resulting in kids who think they have no future.
We need to do better, for our teachers, our children, and our state. Only Pauline Hanson's One Nation WA will cut through the nonsense, and get back to focusing on what matters for our children, and that is learning how to learn by commanding English, maths and sciences.

Indigenous and Multicultural Affairs
Posted on Policies by One Nation Western Australia · May 29, 2024 12:30 PMWe are One Nation
We are concerned that an ever-increasing focus on diversity is actually dividing us as a nation and as a state. The recent Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act scandal is the result of not considering the people of this state and nation as one. At One Nation, we don't care what your background is, we care who you are today, and that is an Australian who agrees with our constitution and system of government. We recognise the facts of history in relation to WA's indigenous people, and are committed to ensuring our fellow citizens are always fairly considered.
We believe in a modern Australia where race is not considered an issue, and people are judged solely for the content of their character and their personal actions.

Housing
Posted on Policies by One Nation Western Australia · May 29, 2024 12:17 PMWe condemn successive governments for allowing the current housing and homelessness crisis in WA. We believe in reducing red and green tape and to encourage more regional infrastructure development to reduce housing pressure, as well as adequately invest in emergency, short term and long-term social housing across the state. And we are not scared to state the obvious - to reduce pressure on the housing market immediately, we just need to slow down immigration.
One Nation WA believes in cutting immigration and banning foreign home purchases until our housing market supply can catch up with demand in our state. We will also ensure state government projects and policy do not overwhelm the construction industry, as happened with WA Labor’s Metronet and Covid building bonus.
We believe in Australians owning their own home, and oppose policies that encourage the large scale purchase of housing stock by large organisations which distort the market for families.
We understand the importance of homeownership for Australians and oppose policies that facilitate large organisations' mass purchases of housing stock, as these actions distort the market and make it more challenging for families to secure affordable homes.

Cost of Living
Posted on Policies by One Nation Western Australia · May 21, 2024 8:42 AMReduce Government Pressure
We believe in ensuring we get more from our natural resources, and in freezing government fees and charges for a time to reduce the burden on families. To fund this, we believe in ensuring we receive fairer contributions from multinationals by reviewing some historical state agreements and by unlocking economic potential by reducing some regulations where appropriate. We will also support policies that reduce government competition with the private sector for resources to reduce inflationary pressures.
At One Nation WA, we will support measures that ensure people are supported when times are tough, but also ensure people have an incentive to work hard.
One charge that is a major impost on WA families is car registration, which has become painfully expensive. This is one charge that we would reduce, as having a car in WA means you can work, you can learn and you can participate in the community.

Migration to WA
Posted on Policies by Albert Gersh · January 13, 2022 3:02 PMZero-net immigration throughout COVID illustrated how putting the brakes on migration reduced congestion on our roads and allowed Government services to focus on Western Australians. Pauline Hanson's One Nation WA will lobby for a federal zero-net migration policy and focus on permitting only highly skilled migrants from culturally cohesive countries into Australia. Migrants must demonstrate a sound level of English for assimilation purposes. Education courses in Australian universities should not be used as a backdoor to immigrate to Western Australia.

Push for 2 Million Extra Migrants
Posted on Old News by Albert Gersh · October 13, 2021 9:02 AMDespite state and federal governments saying Australia needs to cut its carbon dioxide emissions - there's a push to bring in an extra 2 million migrants.
