Mining
Posted on Policies by One Nation Western Australia · May 29, 2024 1:18 PMBedrock of the State
We understand that WA's prosperity is built on the mining industry, and we will encourage ongoing investment in it, with a focus on supporting local mining companies and jobs so their profits are more likely to be re-invested in our state. We will also prioritise the retainment of prime agricultural land over mining activity, considering the limited amount of usable fertile land in WA.
We will also reduce the time it takes to make decisions in relation to projects by investing in more resources for Government approval processes.

State Development
Posted on Policies by One Nation Western Australia · May 29, 2024 1:16 PMRegional Planning Refocus
We believe there is vast potential in regional WA, and that we need to focus on diversifying the state beyond Perth. By investing in regional health, education, transport, power and water infrastructure across the state, we will grow WA jobs, unlock vast economic potential and reduce the pressure on Perth's overloaded facilities.
Sadly, the realities of democracy mean that with all of the WA population in Perth, decisions are made by Governments that predominantly benefit people in Perth, because that is where the voters are. But we believe it is in the interests of Perth, and its population, if pressure is reduced on the city and we invest more in other parts of the state to grow our other fantastic cities and towns.
