Domestic Violence

 

In brief:

·        Fairer family law that supports both men and women

·        Remove the gender focus to better tackle DV

·        Make it easier to escape dangerous situations

 

We want to make family law fairer and recognise that both men and women are capable of violence and abhorrent behaviour.

By providing better support for both men and women and removing the focus from gender, we can better address domestic violence in our community.

Ultimately we need to make it easier for people in dangerous situations to escape them, by providing alternative accommodation options and facilitating the ability to make a clean break from toxic relationships.
