Luke Herdegen

Luke Herdegen MLA - Member for Secret Harbour

Luke Herdegen was elected as the Member for Secret Harbour following a by-election in August 2026. Luke won the previously safe Labor seat with a strong primary vote, and demonstrated there is not safe seat in WA now that One Nation is on the scene.

He’s done his fair share of real work over the years: electrical trade assistant, concreter, traffic controller, and marketing consultant. In 2023, Luke moved to the City of Rockingham and put down his roots. He built a business running several gyms, including one that services the people of Secret Harbour. That’s given him a genuine connection with local families, workers, and small business owners - people he sees and speaks to every week.

Luke lives by a simple set of values: initiative, compassion, discipline, and always striving to be better. Those principles shape everything he does.

He wants to bring back the kind of Australia he grew up in - where you could get ahead through hard work and everyone had a decent shot at a good life. He’s determined to fight so that Western Australians can not only hold onto their standard of living, but improve it.

The people of Secret Harbour now have a representative who actually knows the community and local businesses, and who will stand up for them in Parliament without fear or favour.

To contact Luke you can send him an email at [email protected] or contact him on Facebook.
