Shameful treatment of kids in the Kimberley

One Nation WA is calling out the WA Labor government for its shameful treatment of kids in the Kimberley, who are being neglected to a degree that is unacceptable in a modern society.

There have been constant reports from the Kimberley about youth crime, youth vandalism and truancy, with the latest outrage being the revelation that kids as young as 8 are being given needles to possibly assist in taking drugs.

If the things happening in the Kimberley were happening in the Perth metro area, there would be a huge government response, and rightly so. Imagine if a gang of youths stole cars in Northbridge and rammed police cars and went on burglary sprees in Subiaco, or if a child in South Perth was handed a syringe to play with by a health professional. There would be community outrage, and everything would be done to restore order.

A sad reality is that the majority of kids being neglected in the Kimberley are indigenous, and this suggests there might be a level of racism involved from the Labor party in letting this situation fester and intensify.

Woke left politics suggests that any sort of authority over indigenous people is not acceptable, as imposing expectations on them is seen as somehow racist. But the truth is that treating different groups with separate standards is the actual definition of racism. The woke left says they need to be "culturally appropriate", but in reality this results in a lifetime of disadvantage for these kids.

As a society we cannot allow children to have no boundaries, rules or discipline, not providing those things constitutes neglect. WA Government departments have completely failed to work together with local communities to resolve the issues in the Kimberley, with local solutions being thwarted by legions of do-gooders in Perth.

One Nation WA sees no distinction between kids in Perth and kids in the Kimberley, ultimately they are all Australians that need to be supported to be contributing members of society, and to reach their full potential. We believe in working with local communities in the Kimberley to implement real working solutions, and to ignore the woke left in Perth that want to discriminate against indigenous kids in the Kimberley by applying different standards than they would in to their own kids in Perth.
