According to media outlets, the population of Western Australia has just passed 3,000,000 people, and One Nation WA is calling out the two tired old parties for their lack of planning.

In 2016 the population of WA was 2.5 million, which means half a million more people have come here in under ten years.

Of course the people who came are overwhelmingly contributing and valued members of our community, however, due to no fault of their own, WA living standards have reduced as a result of services and infrastructure not being able to accommodate such a large number of extra people.

It is not the fault of individual migrants who followed the rules that our health system is degraded, or that our education system is stretched to capacity with huge class sizes. The reason we have massive congestion on Perth roads, and the reason people cannot find a home, is because of terrible long-term planning by the two tired old parties.

Decades of short-term self-serving policy decisions by successive Governments are the reason WA families are experiencing a drop in general living standards. Decades of massive untargeted immigration, coupled with a lack of timely investment in services and infrastructure are to blame.

One Nation WA is calling for immediate efforts to reduce the pressure on public services to restore our living standards, and to eventually improve them. We believe in regional development to take the pressure off Perth, and we are the only party that Western Australians can trust to plan for the long-term prosperity of all Western Australians.
