Housing

We condemn successive governments for allowing the current housing and homelessness crisis in WA. We believe in reducing red and green tape and to encourage more regional infrastructure development to reduce housing pressure, as well as adequately invest in emergency, short term and long-term social housing across the state. And we are not scared to state the obvious - to reduce pressure on the housing market immediately, we just need to slow down immigration.

One Nation WA believes in cutting immigration and banning foreign home purchases until our housing market supply can catch up with demand in our state. We will also ensure state government projects and policy do not overwhelm the construction industry, as happened with WA Labor’s Metronet and Covid building bonus.

We believe in Australians owning their own home, and oppose policies that encourage the large scale purchase of housing stock by large organisations which distort the market for families.

We understand the importance of homeownership for Australians and oppose policies that facilitate large organisations' mass purchases of housing stock, as these actions distort the market and make it more challenging for families to secure affordable homes.
